About Us

Welcome to the page for Spokane Beard & Mustache, and thank you for your interest! The Spokane Beard and Mustache Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit in Spokane, WA. In the past 12 years, we have raised nearly $150,000 for charities. The foundation is supported by the Spokane Beard and Mustache Club, a separate social group. Spokane Beard & Mustache strives to promote a positive outlook on the bearded community. We do this by promoting events and activities that help support various charities. We challenge people to embrace the hair on our faces and see what we are all about. This page will be easier to navigate and get you the information you need to join, help, donate, or compete!

Charity

Spokane Beard and Mustache is all about giving back to our community we call HOME! We have partnered with multiple agencies such as Spokane Guild School, Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, Safety Net, Solution Hour, River’s Wish Animal Sanctuary, 2BU Horse Ranch and Teen and Kid Closet. In 12 years we have raised nearly $150,000.00 for these charities. We look forward to working with others as we continue our mission.

The Spokane Beard & Mustache Foundation

The Spokane Beard & Mustache Foundation is supported by the Spokane Beard & Mustache Club, which is a social group that meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6 pm in different locations. During these meetings, we discuss club and foundation business, as well as volunteer opportunities for various charities, including our chosen charity of the year. We also have a great time together!

There are different types of memberships available for you to choose from, and it’s not mandatory to pay membership dues to participate in events, meetings, or volunteering. Here are the different membership levels:

Regular Member: You can come to meetings and events whenever you can and enjoy yourself!

Registered Member: For each calendar year, membership dues are $20 for adults (18+) and $10 for junior members (17 and under). Registered members receive a member card, voting rights, and a yearly SB&M gift that is different every year.

Patched Membership: This is a special distinction within the club that is awarded to members who demonstrate exemplary service to the club and our community. To be eligible for a patch, members must meet the following requirements within the previous calendar year:

  • Paid dues during the previous year
  • Attended and signed in at SIX monthly meetings
  • Volunteered at THREE different volunteer opportunities approved by the club board
  • Competed in at least ONE regional club beard competition.
